• Birthers Rejoice: This MSNBC Reporter Actually Said Obama is “From Kenya”

    Whoopsies!

Well that was embarrassing. I wouldn’t call Chris Jansing a tower of intellect by any stretch of the imagination, but she really should have known better. Her friends at MSNBC, from Chris Matthews to Joy Reid and right on down the line, have been railing against Republicans since before 2008 for supposedly encouraging the extremist “Birther”-wing of the GOP to stoke up fear and anti-Obama sentiment among the voting public. So it’s rather hilarious that MSNBC itself is where a goofy gaffe like this would take place. Some might call it poetic justice.

Yeah, the fact that he’s from Kenya, and the fact that when he was elected, there were expectations from the African continent that he would do great things for them,” began Jansing, as she attempted to tout Obama’s Africa agenda. Moments later, after being corrected by host Joy Reid (and probably shouted at by an MSNBC producer), Jansing clarified that she meant to say Obama’s father is from Kenya. Okay, we’ll go with that then.

Doesn’t this remind you of how Democrats are whining that Republicans are trying to impeach Obama, but the only people actually talking about impeachment seem to be Democrats? In this case, I don’t recall ever hearing super-prominent Republican voices (other than Donald Trump) questioning Obama’s birthplace…except when I turn on MSNBC and see Al Sharpton and company throwing hissy-fits. Meanwhile, their own reporters are making mistakes about it on the air!

What a hilarious disaster this so-called news channel is. I think we need a special “MSNBC Baby-Changing Station” to clean up the messes of all these nincompoops!
