August is proving to be the month of drunk driving democrats.
First there’s Texas District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg who was arrested and thrown into jail last April for driving with a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit. She is back in the news this week after launching an indictment against Texas Governor Rick Perry–a ridiculously silly move that is being blasted by both liberals and conservatives.
Now there’s California State Senator Ben Hueso (D), who was arrested Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Officers say they saw Hueso driving the wrong way at around 2:24 a.m Friday morning, The Sacramento Bee reports.
California Highway Patrol Officer Julie Powell said Hueso showed “objective signs and symptoms” of being wasted, and decided to administer a field sobriety test.
Hueso was arrested and booked at the Sacramento County jail with a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher.
Ben Hueso released a statement apologizing for his “poor personal judgment.”
