Everyone loves a good slip of the tongue…especially when it comes from a sitting United States congressman. Rep. James Clyburn is now 74-years old, so he can probably be forgiven for not being up on all of the hip new technology. But that doesn’t make his little gaffe any less entertaining.
The Daily Caller recently discovered this gem while most people were busy focusing on their Labor Day plans. Clyburn had been booked on C-SPAN, where he was talking about mobilizing Democrats to get out the vote. It was there that he confused texting…with SEXTING. D’oh!
I hate to break it to the good congressman, but that strategy didn’t work so well for the Anthony Weiner mayoral campaign.
