• Here’s How Your Secretary of State Spent His Labor Day

The world may be imploding like a firecracker right now, but that was of little concern to Secretary of State John Kerry, as he celebrated Labor Day kiteboarding in Nantucket.

He has likely felt relieved by a recent cooling down of tensions in the Gaza, though the minimal progress that has been made in the region arguably had little, if anything, to do with him.

To his credit, Kerry did pen a New York Times op-ed about defeating ISIS, which was published on Saturday. But that’s more or less akin to getting your homework done while you’re still sitting in class, so you can play outside later instead of studying. The op-ed was an obvious course correction after Obama’s gaffe/admission last week, in which POTUS revealed that he doesn’t actually have a strategy to take on ISIS.

Yep, this administration certainly appears to be enjoying itself. Between Barry’s golfing addiction and Kerry’s long strolls on the beach, one would be forgiven if they mistook this crew for being members of an “active living” retirement community.

Side note: as entertaining as Ketchup Man’s kiteboarding photo may be, it’s still a far cry from his all-time best snapshot:
