Just because there haven’t been quite enough examples of epic Obama failures this week, I thought it might be important to bring this to your attention: Healthcare.gov has now been compromised.
It was nearly a year ago that we were reassured by former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius that the worst of the website “glitches” were behind us. But all along, lawmakers have raised questions about the security of the sensitive information that average Americans have been feeding into the site. Now, the feds have revealed that Obamacare Central was breached by a hacker nearly two months ago.And what’s worse? HHS only discovered that the July hacking had taken place LAST WEEK. Yeah, it took literally weeks for them to notice. They insist that no one’s personal data has been compromised, but they’ve also insisted…well, a lot of things.
According to an official at the Department:
“Washington officials said they are concerned that an intruder gained access to the HealthCare.gov network through a basic security flaw. The server accessed had such low security settings because it was never meant to be connected to the Internet. When the hacker broke in, it was only guarded by a default password, which often is easy to crack. There was a door left open.”
Well, excellent. So now we’re just leaving doors open because we aren’t expecting it to rain in our house. I wouldn’t trust these bumbling idiots at HHS with taking out my trash.
