• This May Be the All-Time Greatest Way to Avoid Answering a Question

Let’s face it: sometimes, you’re just not prepared. But that can be a bit of a problem when you happen to be a TV news reporter whose job it is to think on your feet.

Meet Nicholas Witchell of the BBC. During a live broadcast from Balmoral, he was called upon to report about a statement issued by the Queen of England. Unfortunately, that never happened. Because once the camera was focused on poor Nicholas, he simply slinked his way out of view, calmly and carefully.

Of course, it will be argued that Witchell’s earpiece was somehow malfunctioning, but we’ve heard all of that before. Besides, the clip wouldn’t be nearly as funny in that case, so we’ll go with the former as the explanation.

I don’t know what’s considered the new #Planking on the Interwebs at the moment, but I’d hazard to guess that #Witchelling has the potential to become, at the very least, the new #Tebowing.

Plus, I’m sure Barack Obama would love to try this out during his next news conference.
