Alton Nolen was reportedly fired from Vaughan Foods in Moore, Oklahoma before he allegedly stabbed and beheaded Vaughan Foods employee Colleen Hufford.
It’s also being reported that Nolen repeatedly stabbed another woman, 43-year-old Traci Johnson, before being shot by an off-duty cop.Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis told reporters today that Mark Vaughan, Vaughan Foods’ CFO and a reserve county deputy, shot Nolen just as he was stabbing Johnson, who is now being hospitalized.
“He’s a hero in this situation,” Lewis told the press. “He definitely saved Traci’s life. This guy was not going to stop, until he stopped him. It could have gotten a lot worse.”
Lewis also told reporters that Nolen had attempted to convert his coworkers to Islam and after several failed attempts he lashed out, brutally severing the head of one employee and hospitalizing another.
Nolen is currently unconscious and will be arrested the moment he regains consciousness.
The FBI has been brought in to investigate the gruesome incident. Federal authorities are also probing to see whether Nolen’s recent Muslim conversation is in any way connected to this horrible murder. These reports come just as another video showing the beheading of a French tourist, Hervé Gourdel, recently appeared online. Algerian Muslim militants connected to the global terror group ISIS have claimed to have been responsible for his death.
This news also comes just days after the release of a video showing ISIS leaders calling for Muslim extremists to behead random people in America.
“A lot of brothers are mobilizing right now. They’re mobilizing for a brilliant attack,” Somali-Canadian Abu Usamah Somali, an ISIS leader, said in a recently released video.
