According to a local NBC News station in Richmond, VA, at least 250,000 Virginians will be forced to find new health insurance coverage by the end of 2014 because their current plans don’t meet the new standards established by ObamaCare.
“What’s happened is that the law has changed,” Doug Gray, executive director of the Virginia Association of Health Plans told WWBT 12. “We’re not allowed to offer those plans anymore. So what we’re saying to people is you need a plan that’s compliant with the law.”Virginia’s Health Insurance Reform Commission said earlier this week that roughly 250,000 Virginians will soon be notified that their health insurance plans are being canceled as a result of the new healthcare law.
“That’s in addition to the thousands of Virginians who had already been notified over the last year their plans are no longer compliant with President Obama’s signature health care law,” writes Watchdog.org’s Kathryn Watson.
According to a Real Clear Politics average of polls, a whopping 53.8% of Americans still oppose Obamacare.
