“It’s not going to be a good year for Democrats by definition,” says…Jay Carney?
That’s right; the newest employee of CNN and longtime professional liar for President Obama is finally speaking the truth. Following in the footsteps of his predecessor, Robert Gibbs, the now-former White House Press Secretary Jay Carney has suddenly learned how to be (at least somewhat) candid and forthcoming, now that he’s no longer flacking for the Commander-in-Chief.On CNN’s State of the Union, Carney made it quite clear that he’s not putting his chips on blue this November. “The sixth year is always particularly bad for a president’s party,” he explained. You couple that with the fact so many seats are defended by Democrats in red states where Mitt Romney did very well against the president, double-digits in most cases, and there’s no outcome in November that anybody could say would be great for Democrats, except for barely holding onto the Senate.”
Mark the tape, Surgers…because you’re unlikely to hear any such predictions from Josh Earnest, the hack who replaced Carney in his old job. Plus, it may be both the first AND last time we ever hear Jay speak the truth about something, so it’s kind of a media milestone.
Meanwhile, perhaps the most prominent liar in the Dumbocrat party, Nancy Pelosi, is taking a bit of a different approach in terms of managing expectations for what is shaping up to be D-Day 2014:

“Civilization, as we know it today, would be in jeopardy if Republicans win the Senate,” the San Francisco Witch told HBO’s Bill Maher. She may have been chuckling while she uttered the sentence, but you can be assured that Grossy Pelosi believes every word of it. Nancy knows how crucial it is for her party not to lose their standing in the Senate this November, so she’s decided to do a little bit of fear-mongering, ostensibly to scare the base into turning out the vote. However, for her own benefit, she might want to pause and consider the ramifications of that. I may not be a professional pollster, but I’m pretty sure it rarely works when a party attempts to draw its own people to the voting booth through negativity. Aren’t the Democrats the ones who are always telling us that the American people want to vote for things, rather than against them? It seems like ole’ NancyPants isn’t following her own advice.
One thing is abundantly clear: the Left is running scared in 2014, and they have mostly Barack Hussein Obama to blame for it. It’s anybody’s guess how things will actually turn out on Election Night, but if these clowns are throwing in the towel already, I’d say Republicans have a lot to look forward to.
