• Train Surfing: The Next Big Internet Craze?

Covering viral video challenges that involve stupid kids doing stupid things to themselves is always a tricky thing. On the one hand, you want to bring attention to the stupidity in order to help stop it. But on the other hand, incessant blog posts and cable news stories about teenagers who light themselves on fire and eat spoonfuls of cinnamon until they vomit only seem to encourage more of the behavior.

However you come down on the uglier side of YouTube, here we have a pretty frightening video of some rather moronic Boston teens. Watch as the center of attention decides to do a handstand on top of a moving train…after almost getting himself decapitated by an overhead bridge. I had a sudden flashback to the climactic scene of the movie Speed, in which Dennis Hopper’s character meets his demise in much the same way.

Authorities are now on the hunt for this stupid kid, and The Boston Globe is reporting that they’d like to charge him with trespassing. They say they’re close to locating him.

Your turn. Cause for alarm? Or merely Survival of the Fittest? Sound off below.
