• Want to Change Your Face? This App Does it…With Live Video

If you’re not too keen on your own physical features — or perhaps just extremely vain — you might want to have a look-see at “Looksery.” It’s a brand new smartphone application that allows you to take video selfies that are altered in “real time” to give you the face that you’ve always wanted. Insecurity is now a thing of the past…at least in a virtual sort of way.

If you have green eyes and black hair, just a few magical clicks could transform you into a blonde-haired, blue-eyed dreamboat. Perhaps you’re concerned about those extra pounds you’ve put on since last Thanksgiving? No fear — some equally quick taps can make Rosie O’Donnell look like Kelly Ripa just like that.

In other words, impressing prospective dates on Match.com just got a whole lot easier. But even if that’s not your modus operandi, you can still change your face into the flaming skull from Ghost Rider if you so choose. Some of the other “extreme” options include making yourself look like a cat. Or a zombie. Or a gecko.

As you might imagine, Looksery was a Kickstarter campaign, and it reached its fundraising goal over the summer. Next year, it plans to add real time video chats right inside the app. So average-looking guys, get ready to transform yourselves into Brad Pitt and snag the girl of your dreams. Things should go pretty well…at least until you actually have to meet in person.
