• (D)em Mayor Patrick Cannon Gets 3 Years For Bribery: Media Ignores; CBS, AP Omit Party Affiliation

Another day, another Democrat party politician is being sentenced to prison for committing corrupt acts while in office.

This time it’s former mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina Patrick Cannon, who was sentenced Tuesday to nearly four years in prison for accepting bribes from undercover federal agents.

So far, as I write, the mainstream media has either ignored this story or they’ve covered it without mentioning that Cannon is a Democrat.

CBS News, for its part, has a story on Cannon on its website titled “Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon resigns after his arrest on corruption charges.” However, CBS’ story doesn’t say a word about Cannon’s party affiliation.

Do you think they’D fail to mention Cannon’s party I.D. were he not a Democrat?

ABC is running an Associated Press write up on Cannon’s sentencing today and the AP’s article also fails to mention Cannon’s party I.D.

The New York Times, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN, have yet to post articles about Cannon’s arrest on their respective websites.

Earlier this year, CNN had to be forced to cover Democratic lawmaker Leland Yee and two other Democratic state lawmakers who were being charged with conspiracy to deal and traffic firearms.

The absence of any evidence that Chris Christie knew of the lane closures on the George Washington Bridge before he said he did, hasn’t stopped the liberal-leaning media from beating that dead horse.

Can An Unpopular Governor Win The Presidency?” asked MSNBC, last week. And, according to the New York Times, “Bridgegate” is still causing some conservatives to “doubt” Chris Christie’s presidential viability.

I could go on highlighting the media’s bias against the right for days.

As I’ve said before, America’s liberally biased media goes to great lengths to avoid telling the American people the whole truth if the bad news involves Democrats. They don’t practice the same prudence when the accused is a Republican.

The bias and partisan favoritism the media show toward Democrats is frustrating. And importantly, media bias hurts America when the media–which has a duty to inform–willingly hides important facts to protect its favorite political party.
