Asked some fairly basic questions about how he differs from Hillary Clinton on policy, Webb made it pretty clear that Obama isn’t the only toxic Democrat these days. “Do you think she’s a good qualified candidate to be president?” asked NBC’s Chuck Todd. Webb’s answer? “We led on this pivot to Asia, which people talked about for the Obama administration. We began that two years before Obama was elected.”
Huh?
That answer was about as relevant to the question as underpants are for dogs. Webb refused to even list one single “contrast” between himself and the former Secretary of State. “I don’t think it’s for me to talk about Hillary Clinton,” he soon admitted. “I enjoyed working with her when I was in the Senate. For me, I don’t know what she’s going to do, if she runs what she would run on, I’m just very concerned about these issues for the country.”
Yeah, I’m sure that’s exactly what Democrats who aren’t too enthused about Hillary want to hear right now. Might as well go ahead and check Senator Webb off the 2016 list right now.
Still, there’s always Bernie Sanders!Send this to a friend
