• Dems in Denial: Schumer Has No Idea What’s About to Hit His Party in November

When you need a healthy dose of left-wing delusion, you can always count on Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to toe the party line.

On NBC’s Meet the Press, Senator Schumer declared that his party will, in fact, maintain control of the United States Senate come November…you know, despite just about every poll predicting the opposite.

I know all the pundits are saying Republicans will take the Senate. Democrats are going to prove the pundits wrong on Election Day when we keep the Senate,” insisted a confident Schumer. “First and foremost, economic issues predominate. Ebola’s in the news, ISIS is in the news, but the average voter — every poll shows far and away — cares most about economic issues.”

Well now, that’s just hilarious. Chuckie is absolutely right in the latter part of his remark: the average voter DOES care about the economy…and that’s even more of a reason why Democrats will lose!

Does Schumer not realize that a bulk of the polling that’s been done on voter disappointment with Obama includes questions about his failure on the economy? By extension, his party will logically suffer as a result.

    But not in Chuck’s world.

[Voters] tend to be for Democrats when economic issues like minimum wage, like equal pay for women, like not sending jobs overseas predominate. Second, we have a much better ground game. You can add two to three points at a minimum for each of those races. Just about every one of those races,” claimed the New York knucklehead. “So, if it’s 44, 43, we’re probably ahead. And third, as the race gets down to the final moments, the voters focus on the two candidates, not on a national referendum. When the two candidates are compared almost inevitably, we do better. So economic issues, better ground game, better candidates will put us over the top November.”

You have to love these definitive statements from prominent Democrats like Schumer. I’m not saying I know exactly how things are going to shake out in a few weeks, but I do have a feeling it will be quite fun to resurrect this video clip in the aftermath. It’s usually when a party is this cock-sure of themselves that disaster strikes.

Then again, when Chuck Schumer is involved, it’s always about him. And since he doesn’t run the risk of losing his seat anytime soon, he may not even care. As long as he can continue to regularly crash commencement ceremonies in the state of New York (as he did mine once upon a time), he’ll be happy as a pig in mud.
