• Meet the Crazy Stalker Lady Who Got Stuck in Her Love Interest’s Chimney

    Ho, Ho, Ho...

She may not be Santa Claus, but she’s sure spent some quality time getting to know this chimney.

Meet 28-year old Genoveva Nunez-Figueroa. After a few dates with a man she met online who now asks to be identified only as “Lawrence” and an unexpected breakup, Genoveva did what any lustful woman would do: she busted into the dude’s house.

    From ABC-7 in California:

Residents in the 1900 block of Woodside Drive reported hearing the sound of a woman crying in the area at about 5:45 a.m. Deputies found Genoveva Nunez-Figueroa trapped inside the chimney.

Ventura County Fire Department and Urban Search and Rescue members had to dismantle the chimney in order to get Nunez-Figueroa out. She was lubricated with dish soap prior to being hoisted out, Ventura County Fire Capt. Mike Lindbery said via Twitter.

Lawrence had quickly called things off with Genoveva after he realized he just wasn’t that into her — I can’t imagine why — but he now realizes that he probably should have seen the warning signs sooner.

She seemed totally cool, until the first flag was her actually being on my roof two weeks ago,” he said. Indeed, if someone is up on your roof sans sleigh bells and reindeer, it may be a slight cause for concern.

But it’s clear that Lawrence has learned a valuable lesson from all of this. “Before you have somebody come in your house, really check them out. Really give it some time before you let somebody in, because they might want to stay,” he cautions.

Wise words, indeed…but those words won’t go too far in getting Lawrence a new chimney. The thing is pretty much destroyed at this point.

Nunez-Figueroa, meanwhile, was taken to a hospital to be evaluated following her daring rescue. No word yet on what the results may yield, and whether or not she was still covered in dish soap while being transported there.

I’m going to be a little more cautious of who I invite into my house now,” a shrewd and sensible Lawrence proclaimed.
