When asked, nearly two-thirds of Americans say they want flight restrictions from the Ebola-striken West African countries.
And with the announcement today of another confirmed case of Ebola in America, Obama’s promise that it’s “unlikely that someone with Ebola” can “reach our shores” is completely ludicrous.“Common sense dictates that we should impose a travel ban on commercial airline flights from nations afflicted by Ebola,” Texas Senator Ted Cruz told the Dallas Morning News.
Ted Cruz is right.
Canceling, or even briefly restricting flights has absolutely nothing to do with politics.
Remember that Washington Post/ABC News poll I cited above? Well, it shows that even a majority of Democrats support a travel ban.
“There’s no reason to allow ongoing commercial air traffic out of those countries,” Cruz added.
If you can believe it, Obama and his gang of dummies aren’t even considering a travel ban from the Ebola-affected countries in Africa.
A travel ban is “something that’s not on the table at this point,” said Earnest today to ABC News’ Jon Karl.
Senator Ted Cruz is urging Obama to use common sense on this issue. An overwhelming majority of the American people agree with him.
But when the hell has this administration shown us that it possesses a speck of common sense, good judgement, or levelheadedness? As I’ve, regrettably, said before, many more Americans are going to suffer and die because Obama is playing politics with this deadly disease.
