Sometimes, the headline is all you need. I guess this is the way criminals roll in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where a man dressed up as “Laa-Laa” the yellow Teletubby busted into a house, grabbed only the Chinese food out of the victim’s fridge, then threw it into his purse and left. Yes, the man had a purse. He also damaged the door during his great escape.
The 20-year old criminal’s name is Terez S. Owens Jr., and the house that he broke into actually belonged to a friend of his…not that it’s any excuse. The “friend” was originally willing to chalk it up to a case of the munchies and not press charges, but later decided to indeed make a case out of it.Meanwhile, Bethlehem Police Chief Mark DiLuzio is the steady hand at the helm of the investigation surrounding this shocking crime. “Not that many Teletubbies get arrested,” he said in a very insightful way.
In case you’re wondering, it wasn’t yet Halloween when this incident transpired. Just another day in PA.
