Fox News contributor and former congressman Allen West is taking the job of CEO at the Dallas-based and non-profit National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA), a think tank founded in 1983.
The group says that since its inception, their goal has been to “develop and promote private, free-market alternatives to government regulation and control, solving problems by relying on the strength of the competitive, entrepreneurial private sector”.We bring together the best and brightest minds to tackle the country’s most difficult public policy problems — in health care, taxes, retirement, education, energy and the environment. In doing so, we propose reforms that liberate consumers, workers, entrepreneurs and the power of the marketplace. -NCPA website
What does West have to say?
“I am humbled and honored to have this opportunity to lead one of the country’s preeminent think tanks…I have long admired the NCPA’s innovative research in health care, tax reform, entitlements, retirement, energy, environmental and education policy.”- Allen West
According to the National Review Online, West will be relocating to Dallas in early 2016.
