• Dem Senator Tim Kaine Just Ripped Into Obama Over His “Immoral” War With ISIS

While delivering remarks at the Woodrow Wilson Center on Wednesday, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) accused President Obama of conducting an illegal war against ISIS and said doing so sans congressional authorization is “the height of public immorality.”

“How dare we ask people to risk that if we are not willing to do our job and have a debate in front of the American public and put a thumb print on a mission to say this is in the national interest,” Kaine said. “Why are we afraid of having that debate, we don’t want to say that it’s in the national interest but don’t risk your life? That seems to be the height of public immorality, what can you do that would be more publicly immoral  than ordering people to risk their lives without having a discussion of whether the mission is worth it or not?”

“We have been engaged in a war that is not about immanent defense of the United States without legal authority and I frankly view the argument that either the 01 or 02  authorizations covers this mission against ISIS as ridiculous.”

This isn’t the first time that Senator Kaine has bucked his party and gone after Obama over ISIS. In June, Senator Kaine strongly recommended that the Obama administration “come to Congress very, very soon and put some options on the table about what we should be able to do in tandem with neighbors and allies.”

Kaine blamed Obama for miscalculating the al Qaeda-aligned militants’ resolve in Iraq and said the president hasn’t responded with a plan to fix the mess that he created. “The administration has not provided any plan or suggestion . . . they need to come forward with a proposal and bring to Congress. And then let us debate about what we should do,” Kaine told MSNBC.

    Remember this little gem?

That was Obama playing politics in order to win reelection. Surely promising to take ground troops out of Iraq was inspirational news for the ban of blood lusting barbarians killing and burning their way across Iraq and Syria. Now Obama has to deal with the reality of his stupidity.

Kaine’s comment came just days after President Peace Prize announced plans to deploy another 1,500 U.S. troops to Iraq. Obama has long-promised that there would be “no boots on the ground” in Iraq. There are now over 3,000.

Kaine has introduced a bill that would forbid ground troops and would legalize combat against ISIS for one year.

“If we, after 13 years of war, have not learned enough to have this discussion seriously, then God help us,” Kaine said.
