Just days after the MSNBC host received relentless praise for wearing a v-neck t-shirt during midterm election night coverage, Ronan Farrow committed the cardinal sin of on-air broadcast journalism.
Farrow was forced to admit during a live segment that he didn’t know the name of one of his guests.“I want to bring in Sarah and Jared. Sarah is” he began, before faltering, “uh, would you… I’m sorry Sarah, do you want to introduce yourself to the audience?”
“I’m Sarah Isgur Flores, I’m the deputy communications director at the Republican National Committee,” she said laughing. “Thanks for having me.”
“Sarah was added at the last minute,” Farrow said embarrassingly. “We really appreciate your joining.”
The segment was about President Obama and Mitch McConnel’s planned “bourbon summit.” It’s unclear if Farrow had been sipping the sauce before going on the air.
It’s been a rocky road for Farrow who has been posting low ratings for months. And major on-air embarrassments like today’s have only added fuel to the rumors that MSNBC might cut Ronan Farrow’s afternoon news show.Send this to a friend
