An illegal alien named Adolf Balbuena, 18, was drunk driving when he lost control of his car and struck and killed 3-year-old Angeles Moreno. The toddler was waiting in line at a Porterville, California ice cream truck when Balbuena mowed her down.
After killing the little girl, Balbuena drove away. He was arrested an hour later.Turns out Balbuena is an illegal immigrant from Mexico, KMPH reported.
The family of the young victim and Porterville residents are all waiting for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to say if Balbuena will be deported back to Mexico or tried here in America.
Sadder still, Balbuena’s was the third hit-and-run in the San Joaquin Valley in as many months.
Balbuena had been charged before for driving while under the influence. But he had not been deported for those violations. The Obama administration has cut back on enforcing immigration laws against illegal immigrants with DUIs on their record.
In 2011, ICE Director Morton released a series of memos outlining new “enforcement priorities” that encouraged U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to not enforce immigration law against illegal aliens and to only pursue individuals who meet certain “priorities.”There are more than 30 sanctuary cities in California offering safe haven for illegal aliens. These laws and lax federal enforcement make California the perfect place for illegals like Balbuena who commit crimes and face very few repercussions.
