The CRAPITALISM tour is continuing to spread across America! Jason Mattera’s fantastic new book, Crapitalism: Liberals Who Make Millions Swiping Your Tax Dollars, has received almost exclusive five-star reviews on Amazon, and it’s clear that the country is hungering to hear more about how the left-wing “Crapitalists” in Washington and beyond are screwing us all out of our hard-earned bucks.
Mattera’s latest book stop was over at FreedomWorks, where the author sat down with Wayne T. Brough, their chief economist, for a Q&A.Among the topics Jason discussed in this particular sit-down was why he chose to name the book “Crapitalism” in the first place. We learn here that Mattera actually isn’t a fan of the term “crony capitalism,” in large part because it contains the word “capitalism” and is essentially a perversion of everything that proper capitalism stands for. The author goes on to explain the irony of liberals who have campaigned on the redistribution of wealth from the rich to the poor, but who have actually succeeded greatly in redistributing that wealth to themselves and their crony friends. As Mattera explains, “Nothing is simple in Washington, D.C..”
In this interview, Jason takes particular aim at Jeffrey Immelt, the chairman of General Electric and one of the 27 key “Crapitalists” featured in the book. You’ll hear why Immelt is a quintessential example of Crapitalist hypocrisy, with presumably more examples to come in “Part 2” of this FreedomWorks series.
It’s another great discussion with Mattera that’s definitely worth a few moments of your day. Check out the video above, and be sure to pick up your copy of CRAPITALISM over at Amazon.
