If you’re not on board with President Obama’s upcoming executive order expected to grant amnesty to millions of illegals here in America, well, you’re just like proponents of slavery and segregation. Or so says James Clyburn.
The South Carolina Democrat congressman was a guest on Andrea Mitchell’s MSNBC program this afternoon, where he compared Republican opposition to amnesty to the “fight Lincoln had with Congress over the question of slavery. What a fight we had over integrating the armed services,” Clyburn remarked. He then urged Obama to “get your pen“and “sign the executive order.” Nice to see that this congressman actually takes his job of legislating seriously.
When you can’t win an argument, just accuse the other side of being a bunch of racists, right? It’s the simplest conversation-ender of all time.
