“Recreation facilities, comfortable living quarters, and special apartments for conjugal visits” are among the perks of Saudi Arabia’s plush “rehab” facility for terrorists.
In a report filed for the CBS Evening News, correspondent Holly Williams remarked that the center “looks more like a hotel than a prison.”The terrorist rehabilitation program consists of a three-month stay that includes free health care, laundry, education, and food. But you may be surprised to learn that reprogramming evil thugs doesn’t always work quite as well as planned.
“They’ve had some spectacular failures,” Williams reported. “When Saudi police arrested 88 suspected al Qaeda operatives in September, they discovered that 59 of them had been through reform programs and were then released.”
D’oh!
