• Watch This Black Grandmother Explain Why She Voted Republican In The Midterm Elections

About a week before the Republicans claimed huge wins in Congress a self-described “82-year-old black senior citizen grandmother” named Joyce called C-SPAN to explain why she voted for the Republican candidate in every race on the ballot this cycle.

“I voted straight Republican because I have noticed for years what the Democrat Party has done to my people,” Joyce said. “Unemployment is higher in the black community than it is—double with unemployment than it is anywhere else.”

Joyce also noted that the Democrat party’s embrace of a brand of liberalism has turned off those voters who happen to be devout followers of God’s Word.

“There’s no way I could continue to say I’m a Christian and stay with the Democrat Party,” she added. “They advocate the killing of babies and taking from the doers and giving to the ones sitting doing nothing.”

Joyce did say that she support government assistance for people who are truly destitute and unable to provide for themselves. But she also said that “with so many getting help that don’t need help, it prevents the people that really need help from getting it.”
