• Even Chris Matthews Knows It’s A Republican “Wave” Election

After wondering whether there would be any “good news” for Progressives after the 2014 midterm elections, Chris Matthews answered his own question.

Republicans are winning big with victories in West Virginia, South Dakota, Iowa, North Carolina, and, Montana. The GOP will likely pick up a seat after Louisiana’s December 6th runoff. And they will also hold Senates seats in Kansas, Georgia, and Kentucky.

When you add in the governor’s races and the dozen or so seats in the House the Republicans picked up, it’s easy to see why even Chris Matthews is now calling this thing a wave election.

“This is, I would call, a wave,” Matthews admitted on election night.

“People will dispute the use of the term,” Matthews added. “But the fact that Maryland, which is endemically gut-level Democrat with a decent candidate” lost to Larry Hogan, is irrefutable evidence of how big the GOP wave is.
