So much for Hollywood sticking up for its own, right? Actor Jay Thomas clearly has no love for Seth Rogen and James Franco, though he now claims he meant no offense by this remark:
“If they do strike Seth Rogen and James Franco, what a great end to their careers.” He was, of course, referring to North Korea potentially retaliating (further) for the Kim Jong-Un assassination comedy, The Interview. This, of course, begs the most important question: who the hell is Jay Thomas?
Well, apart from hosting a radio show on satellite radio that you never knew existed, Thomas has had recurring stints on shows like Mork & Mindy, Murphy Brown, and Cheers. In other words, he’s a wash-up. Although I did enjoy his brief role on an episode of Showtime’s Ray Donovan.
The actor now claims he “meant no ill” towards Rogen and Franco, though it’s difficult to figure out how else one can take his remarks. Watch them in their complete context above.
