• Army Recruiters Charged With Having Sex With Underage Girl

As of Tuesday, a warrant has been issued for two Army recruiters charged with having sex with an underage female they met while on tour at a high school, the Washington Times reports.

One of the men, 30-year-old Christopher Doner, was immediately arrested and put in jail based on 10 counts of unlawful sex with minors. During the investigation, Doner admitted that the relationship was inappropriate, but said he had planned to end it shortly. His bail is listed at $38,000. However, 33-year-old John Black is still on the loose. Authorities expect that Back will turn himself in. Investigators believe he may be currently located in Michigan. His charges are somewhat less severe—only two counts of unlawful sex with minors.

In early November, the mother first reported the incident to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office after her 17-year-old daughter finally told her the story.

“They had interaction at school and the victim indicated that they would go to one of the recruiter’s homes. He also took her to some hotel rooms and they also engaged in these encounters in her vehicle,” said Twis Lizasuain of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, according to Live 5 News.

The sexual liaisons continued with both men over a period of months after they met at Harmony High School. At one point, Doner asked her to stop seeing Back, and Back asked her to stop seeing Doner. She refused. Both men are married and have children.

“The victim did indicate that the sex was consensual, but because the individuals were in a position of authority and she was a high school student, that is the reason for the charges,” added Lizasuain. The military will continue a separate investigation, and an Army spokesman stated that the two men will be suspended from recruiting immediately.

“Just the whole story is upsetting to me,” said Cheryl, the parent of a Harmony High student.
