It’s time to chillax about executive amnesty…at least according to the man who enacted it.
“I suspect that temperatures need to cool a bit in the wake of my executive action,” urged Obama earlier today. “Certainly, there will be pressure initially within Republican caucuses to try to reverse what I’ve done, despite the fact that what I’m doing I think is the exact right thing to do.”Sure, that’s one way of looking at it. He continued, “It is temporary. And as soon as Congress passes comprehensive legislation, it goes away.”
In other words, the Commander-in-Cheese knows he’s on shaky ground with this one. If he truly believed he’s following the letter of the law, why isn’t he comfortable enough with the decree to proclaim that it’s here to stay?
Whoops, sorry. Didn’t mean to get my “temperature” up like that, Mr. President.
