• Did Dem Rep Jackie Speier Demand The CIA Apologize For Interrogating Terrorists After 9/11?

The very fact that I have to ask the question is troubling.

Nevertheless, that’s what Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-CA) seemed to imply today when she told MSNBC host Craig Melvin that the CIA should “absolutely” issue an apology over the enhanced interrogation details that were revealed in the flawed Senate Democrats’ Intelligence Committee report.

And who, exactly, would the CIA be apologizing to? Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11, who became an “invaluable” intelligence resource for the CIA after he was repeatedly waterboarded? Or is the CIA apologizing to the American people, for doing everything allowed under the law to keep us safe?

Speier claimed that she was “shocked” by the report. “That is not what this country is about. We have got to shut this down.”

“Every single page had something in the executive summary that shocked me,” Speier, the first term representative said.

Speier was a state senator when terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center, killing thousands of innocent Americans. So it’s easy for her to claim the moral high ground on aggressive interrogation, which they now foolishly call “torture.”

“There’s an arrogance that exists within the CIA that has to be reigned in,” Speier said.

(No. There’s an ignorance that exists among know-it-all elitist liberal blowhards like Congresswoman Jackie Speier.)

“I would certainly hope that they would recognize that with some soul-searching, that they have got to come clean on this,” she added.

What is it with these idiots showing more interest in bestowing compassion on bloodthirsty Islamic terrorists than for the American lives they’ve been elected to, you know, represent?

Had she been in office after 9/11, Congresswoman Jackie Speier would have agreed with every measure taken to extract information from the terrorists–just like every other hypocritical Democrat in Washington did.
