When it comes to executive amnesty, we’re hearing an awful lot about compassion…but not quite as much about real threats at the border. That’s where Jason Chaffetz comes in.
The Utah Republican grilled Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson earlier today on several topics — key among them being why four suspected terrorists captured crossing into America back in September have still not been deported. Two of those suspects have already fled to Canada.Johnson offered precious few answers and lacked any real explanation for Chaffetz.
On a related issue, the Secretary was also asked about President Obama’s flip-flop on executive amnesty. He claimed that the soundbites Republicans have been quoting are “suspicious” and were surely taken out of context…despite the fact that the committee replayed those remarks for him at the hearing.
Watch Chaffetz’ patience wear thin in the complete exchange above.
