“We are going in soon. Either there is going to be a shoot out or they have got away, tipped off by social media,” said an unnamed police officer according to the UK Independent.
The three attackers have been identified as Said Kouachi, 34, Cherif Kouachi, 32, and Hamyd Mourad, 18, the AP reported citing French police.
This idiot, Said Kouachi, reportedly dropped his ID card at the scene of the crime.
And here’s the other suspected killer, his brother, Cherif Kouachi.
Freelance video captured at least two gunmen armed with Kalashnikov rifles shooting their way into Charlie Hebdo headquarters on Wednesday morning.
Before being murdered, cartoonist Stéphane Charbonnier was famously quoted in 2012 as saying “I would rather die standing than live kneeling.”
According to Reuters, “The youngest of three French nationals being sought by police for a suspected Islamist militant attack that killed 12 people at a satirical magazine on Wednesday turned himself in to the police, an official at the Paris prosecutor’s office.”
That would be Hamyd Mourad.
