  • How Hot Is It In Australia? People Are Actually Frying Eggs On Sidewalks

While newspaper headlines like “Winter Weather Threatens East Coast Commute as Icy Spell Looms” paint a bitter picture in America, temperatures are in the hundreds elsewhere.

For instance, it’s currently hellish in Australia. It’s summertime in the Down Under. In fact, it’s so hot there that people are taking to the streets, literally, and trying the old trick of frying eggs on the piping hot pavement.

In recent days temperatures have reached 44ºC, which is about 111ºF.

And I guess that kind of weather was too good to pass up for a few folks with some extra eggs and a camcorder. They took to Youtube and posted their tasty experiment.

You can see the eggs sizzle in the iron skillet. After a few minutes of frying, the guy wastes no time before he starts to devour his (barely-cooked) eggs.

They weren’t fried, completely, but it still looked cool.
