Part of leadership is knowing when to use a carrot and when to use a stick. But according to John Sununu, President Obama has demonstrated a mastery of neither.
During an appearance on America’s Newsroom today, the former New Hampshire Governor told Fox News that “there’s an art form to using the veto. You don’t start with the president throwing it out … you use it as a negotiating tool. But this president doesn’t have any idea on how to negotiate legislation. He wants to pontificate a result, and to him, negotiation is having everybody follow in lockstep … he’s not going to get anything if all he does is throw veto threats out in public.”
Governor Sununu went on to compare Obama’s poor handling of Congress to his poor handling of America’s allies on the world stage. In fact, he flat-out called the president a “dictator.” Watch his remarks in the clip above.
