With all that amazing job growth we’ve been seeing in America, it’s harder to use “job creation” as a reason to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline. Or so claims Congressman James Clyburn.
The South Carolina Democrat appeared on MSNBC today, where he explained that higher job growth and lower gas prices “change the equation. It probably takes away that argument that’s been used for a long, long time,” he added.Clyburn went on to say that the Keystone vote is little more than a symbolic one which Obama should only approve in order to get Republicans to stop squawking about it. How optimistic. This is despite tangible facts and figures about jobs that would be created both during the project and afterwards.
In related news, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest confirmed today that our Dear Leader WILL veto the aforementioned pipeline, making for a great opening salvo with Republicans in the 114th Congress. Shocker!
