• SURPRISE: Taliban Terrorist Obama Released In Bergdahl Deal, Returns To Battlefield

    Who didn’t see this coming?

CNN Pentagon Correspondent Barbara Starr reported that “several US officials” now “suspect” that one of the five detainees traded for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl “has returned to militant activity.”

“Several US officials now confirm to me that they do indeed suspect that one of the five detainees has returned to militant activity,” Starr said on Thursday’s broadcast of The Lead.

“Here’s what we know,” she continued. “The US conducts a classified program to monitor all of their communications, all five of them are in the Middle east, Persian Gulf country of Qatar, their communications monitored by the US intelligence community. In the last several months, one of them now has popped up, those communications suspect that this individual, they will not say which one of the five, has reached out to militants, and through those communications, he’s now suspected of being back involved in potentially militant activity. This has sparked a debate inside the US intelligence community. Some officials saying there is no direct threat, their communications, however, being monitored even more closely now. Other officials saying that debate about whether or not there is a threat still open, that they might now classify this man as having been confirmed to return to militant activity.”

“These five guys are not a threat to the United States,” Hillary Clinton said about the Taliban five in a Today interview on June 11, 2014.

After he okayed their release, Obama admitted that the five Taliban terrorists he traded for Bergdahl could “absolutely” attack America again.

“Is there the possibility of some of them trying to return to activities that are detrimental to us? Absolutely,” Obama said during a news conference in Poland.

“That’s been true of all the prisoners that were released from Guantánamo. There’s a certain recidivism rate that takes place.”

    So why make the deal?

The truth is Obama wanted to spike the ball, he wanted to have a PR win in the eyes of the media–i.e. the world.

Obama wanted to be able to say that he freed an American POW. Obama hates the idea of the “War on Terror.” He hates GITMO. Hell, his administration won’t even call the Taliban a “terrorist group.”

Obama not wanting to face the fact that Islamic terrorists are at war with the west, and his willingness to put politics above the safety of Americans, is now likely going to end in more lives lost.
