  • Taxpayer-Funded College Course: “The Problem of Whiteness”

    "higher education"

Forget the absurdly divisive nature of this latest course offering at Arizona State University, but the guy teaching it is, well, pretty dang white himself:

    ASU white professor

Campus Reform notes that the students enrolled in Professor Lee Bebout’s class will be reading the following books:

The Possessive Investment in Whiteness, Critical Race Theory, Everyday Language of White Racism, Playing in the Dark, and The Alchemy of Race and Rights.

The course is taught out of the English department and its official title is “Studies in American Literature/Culture: U.S. Race Theory & the Problem of Whiteness.”

    Ah, “higher” education.

Perhaps, in the spirit of The Alchemy of Race and Rights, Professor Bebout should offload his posh teaching position at Arizona State to an aspiring faculty member who’s black instead?

Oh, it doesn’t work that way?

Arizona State University, by the way, received over $300 million from taxpayers in 2014 alone.
