• Telemarketer’s Call Saves Woman From Being Beaten To Death By Her Boyfriend

A telemarketer’s call saved a woman hundreds of miles away from being killed by her boyfriend.

The victim’s phone was in her back pocket, and she didn’t even know her phone was ringing, according to KLAS.

A telemarketer at Americare Health and Nutrition working in a call center in Las Vegas placed a call to a woman in Oregon. When the woman answered the phone, Tina Garcia, a telemarketing supervisor at the call center, knew there was trouble on the other line.

Garcia said she could hear screaming on the other end, and what sounded like a woman being punched in the face.

After asking if the woman on the phone was okay and getting no response, Garcia called police from more than 900 miles away for help.

The woman’s boyfriend Warren Ruck was arrested after police arrived on the scene and found him holding the victim by the neck. She was gasping for air. She told the police that Ruck had held a shotgun up to her face, and was planning to kill her.

Amazingly, the woman’s butt cheek answered the telemarketers’s phone call. And she had no idea who called the police.
