• Tony Blair: ‘Stop Making Excuses For Islamic Terrorists’

Too many modern American liberals argue that the existence of things like the prison at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba is “probably the No. 1 recruitment tool that is used by these jihadist organizations.” That’s a direct quote from Obama.

In his State of the Union speech Tuesday, in fact, Obama said, “It makes no sense to spend three million dollars per prisoner to keep open a prison that the world condemns and terrorists use to recruit,” in reference to GITMO.

Other liberal moral arguments for why America and the west experience so much Islamic hatred is the Iraq war.

Beating back these arguments Wednesday at the World Economic Forum was former United Kingdom Prime Minister Tony Blair. He was asked, directly, if the Iraq War was a contributing factor to radical Islamic terrorism. In response, Blair made the case that France never supported the war in Iraq and yet they were still attacked.

“This extremism has grown up over a long time, over decades, its roots are deep within the perversion of a religion, the perversion of Islam,” Blair said.

“At some point we have got to deal with the root problem, which is educating people from a close minded view of the world, if  you’re not like me, you’re my enemy. We got to stop making excuses for those people,” he added.

Evil exists in the world. Islamic terrorism is one of the fiercest evils we face today. That’s a truth that not many people, especially liberals, want to hear and accept. But rejecting that truth doesn’t change the fact.
