• And It Begins: Obama’s Next Executive Action Targets Guns

President Obama is planning on using executive actions to ban certain bullets and force a partial gun control agenda on the nation without congressional approval.

    The Target: AR-15

The Plan: Banning the 5.56 mm ammo used by almost every sport shooter in the country.

The Result: Well, the long-term implications are now more clear than ever, but the immediate effects will cause a huge spike in the price for bullets.

Already the backlash is huge with major retailers urging the public to demand action from Congress as well as the NRA which is working its legislative magic by garnering co-signers for a letter targeting elected officials.

“The Obama administration was unable to ban America’s most popular sporting rifle through the legislative process, so now it’s trying to ban commonly owned and used ammunition through regulation,” said Chris W. Cox, executive director of the NRA-ILA, which is their legislative wing.

According the Washington Examiner, the letter already has 30 House Members, including Rep. Bob Goodlatte, the republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and both Goodlatte and the NRA hope to have over 100 signatures in the near future.

Goodlatte’s letter said, “This round is amongst the most commonly used in the most popular rifle design in America, the AR-15. Millions upon millions of M855 rounds have been sold and used in the U.S., yet ATF has not even alleged, much less offered evidence, that even one such round has ever been fired from a handgun at a police officer.”

The administration through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives   will classify 5.56 mm ammo as “armor piercing” and thus a danger to cops.

If this scares you, don’t worry, you’re not alone. If you want to take action, below is the link to the NRA’s letter. Click it and don’t hesitate to contact your local representative
