While speaking to journalists at the National Press Club on Tuesday, outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder claimed that the nation is “not in a time of war.”
This is, of course, comes nearly a week after President Obama asked Congress to authorize military force against ISIS, who continues to behead and burn alive anyone who identifies as non-muslim and who is at odds with their Jihadist cause.Hell, even Secretary of State John Kerry has admitted that “we are at war with ISIS“.
Apparently Eric Holder didn’t get the memo.
Holder’s comments were in response to a reporter’s question about the Obama administration’s going after reporters who leaked sensitive information or refused to reveal their sources. Holder then compared the current day situation’s to World War II, saying, “if a reporter had found out about the existence of the Manhattan Project, is that something that should have been disclosed?”
“Now we’re not in a time of war, I understand, and I said it’s an extreme example,” Holder continued. (Video above.)
If that’s not good enough for you, Holder almost had a conniption when he was asked about why the Obama administration refuses to say that members of ISIS and other terrorist groups are motivated by their Islamic faith. He then blamed his favorite news organization.“If Fox didn’t talk about this [radical Islam], they would have nothing else to talk about, it seems to me.” he said.
