  • Get Ready: EPA Will Regulate American Wood Stoves

The EPA has now officially finalized a plan to regulate natural wood burning stoves in another ridiculous effort to save the planet…because the oldest known method of heating a home is no longer up-to-par with the current liberal standards. ARG!

The 344-page rule aims to make wood stoves more environmentally friendly by limiting airborne emissions to only 12 micrograms, which is down from the previous 15 micrograms rule.

To put this into context, the average exposure from secondhand smoke, in a closed car is between 3,000 – 4,000 micrograms.

This new ruling is expected to affect over 2 million households who rely on wood stoves to heat their homes. In addition, these families will not be able to trade-in their old stoves for the newer, more “environmentally friendly” ones, making the new restrictions even more painful and forcing many families to decide whether to eat, or freeze to death.

Your taxpayer dollars hard at work folks!

    From the Daily Caller:

Republican lawmakers have opposed the rule, saying it would harm millions in rural America that rely on wood stoves to heat their homes every winter. With natural gas and electricity prices on the rise, wood stoves can be an economical choice for many living in the countryside.

“The EPA’s shortsighted regulatory overreach is once again hitting hardworking Montanans in their pocketbooks,” said Montana Republican Sen. Steve Daines.

In other news, the EPA is trying to sabotage the expansion of the Keystone pipeline. Because global warming will kill us.

    Or is it climate change?
