The situation with ISIS is getting worse and more violent by the day with new reports that on Tuesday, Islamic radicals have burned 45 people alive in the western Iraqi town of al-Baghdadi.
The town is located just five miles from an air base where hundreds of deployed U.S. Marines are located. The identities of the victims have not been released and details are unclear as to why they were killed, but according to local police chief, Col. Qasim al-Obeidi, the victims may be members of local security forces who were fighting against ISIS for control of the town.
Col. Obeidi had pleaded for help from the Iraqi Government and the international community but communications in the area are poor.
The news of this attack comes days after a video surfaced showing 21 christians being beheaded in Libya.
Meanwhile, today the White House convened a summit on “extremism” that will broadly discuss radicalism but will not zero-in on the immediate threat of Islamic terrorism.
