• Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: ISIS Just As Muslim As The KKK Is Christian

Monday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, NBA icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar diminished the role religion plays with respect to the Islamic State’s quest for a world-wide Caliphate.

ISIS’ current march through the Middle East is nothing more than “a play for money and power,” according to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. What ISIS is currently doing in the name of Islam is akin to what the Ku Klux Klan did, as it claimed, in the name of Christianity; “any group can do this.”

“It’s a play for money and power, and these people try to impose their will on people so people will listen to them, and they can be in charge. That’s all it’s about,” Abdul-Jabbar said. “They’ve taken on a fascist attitude and a fascist approach to everything. You do what we say or you die.”

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar continued, à la Barack Obama, saying, “You can make parallels to things that have happened here in America. Like the Ku Klux Klan saying they are the Christian knights. The Ku Klux Klan did not practice Christianity.”

If you can recall, Obama made similar morally relativistic remarks during the National Prayer Breakfast where he said ISIS militants have “hijack[ed] religion for their own murderous ends.” Remember, Obama said to the crowd, during the “Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.” So, Obama warned, “lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place.”

“You can see that any group can do this,” Kareem Abdul-Jabbar said.

Sure. “Any group” can produce a high-quality propaganda video showing a man being burned alive. “Any group” can  behead and bury babies alive. Yes, “any group” can crucify men who refuse to convert to Islam and sell women and children into sex slavery.

But you know what these reliably-ignorant liberal tools are too afraid to admit? “Any Group” isn’t committing those atrocious acts. A group that calls itself the “Islamic State” is doing those things in the name of Islam–not 1,000 years ago of a half-century ago–they’re doing them right now.

These idiots have no shame. Radical Muslims, not radical Christians, are literally burning people alive and dullards from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to Barack Obama are lecturing the world about violence that occurred 10 centuries ago.

    It’s absolutely maddening.
