The Religion of Peace strikes again after a Detroit man stabbed two people at a local bus stop after asking them if they identified as “Muslims.”
Terrence Lavaron Thomas, 39, became visibly upset when the two victims stated that they were, in fact, not Muslims and pulled out a 3-inch folding knife and proceeded to stab the victims repeatedly. One victim was stabbed five times, and the other was stabbed in the hand as he tried to stop the attack. Both victims have been released from the hospital and are expected to make a full recovery.Thomas, a Muslim himself, was arrested shortly after the attack, according to the Washington Post, and found that he was carrying two knives and a small bag of marijuana and has been formally charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, one count of carrying a dangerous weapon, and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
His bond has been set at $1 million and is expected in court for a preliminary hearing on March 4.
Because of Thomas’s motivations in the incident, the FBI has been contacted to look into the assault as a possible “Hate Crime,” so additional charges may be added after federal authorities review the case.
