Hollywood Director, Producer, and Screenwriter Judd Apatow is jumping on the gun control bandwagon and this time bringing a friend along with him.
Former SNL cast member Norm Macdonald joined Apatow on stage at a small venue in Los Angeles to promote “responsible” gun laws for the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, a D.C. based non-profit that lobbies gun control legislation.According to Deadline Hollywood, Apatow said, “Responsible gun laws are essential. It’s shocking that even after all the mass shootings that have happened that there isn’t more being done to make our country safer.” He continued, “I think they (Brady Center) are a great force for good on that issue. And there’s so much good to be done. Most Americans can agree with what needs to be done, but the gun lobby is so strong and so influential with these politicians that nothing gets done. I’m not sure what it will take. But it’s an important battle not to give up on.”
Apatow apparently does bi-weekly shows at the Largo to raise money for charities he likes or covers an issue that he is passionate about.
I’m normally not shocked about Hollywood jumping on liberal bandwagons, but this time, I’m just disappointed in Apatow.
