It’s despicable to think of anyone sympathizing with a cold-blooded killer. Especially one that left two kids without a father, and a wife without a husband.
But when I saw a former congressman expressing sympathy for Eddie Ray Routh, who was just sentenced to life for killing Chris Kyle, and his friend Chad Littlefield, I had to catch my breath.Former Congressman Patrick Murphy (D-PA) made an appearance with lib TV host Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC and said that he felt sorry for Routh because the killer’s life is ruined.
“I’m happy that justice was served. But that verdict yesterday doesn’t bring back Chris and Chad. It doesn’t. They’re gone. And, you know, now another Marine, his life is ruined,” said Murphy.
“He’s going to be in jail for the rest of his life, and that’s part of the justice system, but at the end of the day, you know, it just breaks your heart.”
