• School Requires Parents To Sign Permission Slip For Kids To Eat Oreos

As someone who has several nieces and nephews, I fully understand how much work goes into being a good parent. You have so much on your plate, and dream of the days when leaving your house didn’t require 30 minutes of preparation.

Well, now an elementary school in Pennsylvania is adding another ridiculous requirement to parents by requiring them to sign a permission slip for their children to be allowed to eat…an Oreo.

The oreo cookies are part of a science project where students are learning about the Earth’s features, particularly with plate movement, and the cookie will be used to simulate three types of plate boundaries.

I think that if I had brought this home to my mother when I was in grade school, she would have laughed…and yes, they are double stuffed Oreos.

A screenshot of the permission slip is below…lol
