NBC Washington reports that shots were fired near the National Security Agency’s headquarters in Fort Meade, Maryland on Tuesday.
According to U.S. Park Police Spokeswoman Alicia Woods, the NSA found damage to one of the buildings from multiple gunshots, but no injuries have been reported.Earlier in the day, Police responded to a shooting along the Intercounty Connector near Interstate 95, which is just a few miles from the NSA’s headquarters, two people were shot at through the window of their car and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
NSA Spokeswoman Marci Green Miller confirmed that the NSA is investigation both incidents but it remains unclear whether the two incidents were related.
