Make no mistake, Arnold Schwarzenegger loves America.
The legendary action movie star and former California Governor was asked if he wished there would be a constitutional amendment so that he could run for President of the United States, something he’s unable to do because he wasn’t born in the country, during a radio show appearance late last week. The actor then expressed his deep love for this country and proclaimed that he owes his entire career to the United States of America.
“Everything that I have accomplished in my career is because of America—every single thing: my bodybuilding career, my movie career, the political career, my family, everything, the millions and millions of dollars that I have made in my life and everything,” Schwarzenegger told comedian Jim Norton.
“All those opportunities are because of America so, I’m not going to complain about the only job that I can’t do,” the Austrian-born Governator added. “I think much more about the great things that I could do. Only in America, you could have a career like that.”
Schwarzenegger joked that he came to America as nothing more than a “shyster from Austria,” but was able to go on to have a legendary career in Hollywood and eventually become the Republican governor of California.
“It’s unbelievable,” he said.Send this to a friend
